The Savior embodied his truth, offered experiences that translated it into actual living, and empowered his disciples with a compelling mission that accompanied the communication of the gospel. The redeeming and restorative gospel comes first, but Jesus's life shows that the gospel is not actualized simply by being taught. Jesus influenced people to accept truth and provided a vision for how they could live within it -- in other words, he offered effective leadership."
